My wife and I decided at the beginning of last year to invest in the real estate market in Varna (we visit regularly). Through a mutual friend, we were put in touch with Buy in Bulgaria and our broker, Martin. Before we even got to the actual property selection, we had an initial strategy meeting about the Varna market and the various options, followed by a lengthy questionnaire. I was searching online for a property in Bulgaria and, after finding a few listings I liked, I contacted several real estate agencies. Once I arrived in Varna, I put them to the test in person, and 'Buy in Bulgaria' proved to be the best.

The purchase was conducted under notarial supervision and in the presence of an interpreter. While there are, of course, associated costs for these services, they are very reasonable. The support continued even after the sale; they assisted us with the registration of electricity and water utilities, as well as tax filings. These post-purchase services are also paid, but the fees are perfectly fair.

If you have a functional command of English, I highly recommend reaching out to Mr. Martin Minchev. We cannot praise him enough—he didn’t just focus on the business transaction, but provided a personal touch with genuine Bulgarian hospitality. Even if you don’t speak English, you are in good hands, as they have at least two female staff members who speak perfect German.
